Emma Cowing is an award-winning Scottish journalist and author. In a nearly 30 year career she has written for publications including The Sunday Times, The Guardian, The Scotsman, Scotland on Sunday and The Scottish Daily Mail. She is the author of two novels, THE SHOW WOMAN, and the forthcoming THE PLEASURE PALACE.

Emma’s debut novel, THE SHOW WOMAN, was published by Hodder & Stoughton in 2025 and named one of the best debuts of the year by Stylist. Her second novel, THE PLEASURE PALACE, will be published in January 2027.
